John McGinty

Biotechnology PhD Student

University of Cambridge

I’m a BBSRC CamBioDTP PhD student building biotech tools in the Fruk Lab, based in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and AstraZeneca.

My research focuses on senolytic antibody-drug conjugates for the targeted treatment of lung cancer and respiratory diseases.

Previously, I studied biochemistry at the University of Leeds, where I was awarded the Royal Society of Biology’s Top Student Award.

I’m passionate about translational research. I love to talk science, biotech entrepreneurship, and running. Check out my new blog, The Standard Curve!
